Did you know the current thermal images are based on technology that was originally developed for the military? On Feb. 11, 1800, astronomer Sir William Herschel was searching for optical filter material to reduce the brightness of the sun’s image in telescopes during solar observation. The first heat-picture became possible in 1840, the result of work by Sir John Herschel. The growth of thermal in the security industry is only in its infancy stages. With the need and desire to improve video surveillance and the ever-increasing application for the system analytics, thermal is here to stay.

Wireless Security – Access Control

Wireless access control can be used in just about any place a wireless system can, with some exceptions. It’s where a wired access control system can’t go that makes it all worth while. Specifically when you have a gate located far away from any type of infrastructure/building/etc, which may have access to power or may not, wireless gives you a few more options regarding your security. The technology has improved to the point where it is a viable solution and it will be tested extensively before we complete the installation of your new security solution.

Pass Codes and Duress Codes

At AT&I Systems, we provide our customer 2 types of code to aid their access control and security solutions:

Pass codes are supplied by the customers which are normally words that are used to confirm to the central station that they are experiencing a false alarm or their is no need for law enforcement assistance.

Duress codes are codes supplied by the customer, which are normally words, as a covert signal that informs the central station that the customer is under duress and in need of assistance.

Both of these code types are available to all customers when choosing their access control solutions with AT&I Systems.

Virtual Guard is a much more substantial way to protect your business compared to the old model of using a live guard which can fall asleep or simply not be in the area when something occurs. A few examples of what virtual can bring to your business are as follows:

Guard Tours – conducted on a predetermined schedule or on an as-needed basis, video patrols can detect unwanted behavior, detect vulenarabilities, and use a microphone to deter or for announcements.

Chaperones - for escorting your staff from one are to another, verifying the site is all clear in advance, and conducting announcing information until help arrives.
