Openpath Access Control
In recent years, businesses have come to increasingly rely on access control systems. Access control systems come in multiple types and configurations, but all have the same aim: They seek to grant entry to credentialed individuals while keeping out those lacking license to enter.
Traditionally, access control systems have relied on numerical passwords, keycards, fobs, or biometric data to grant entry. But now AT&I Systems is proud to offer the Openpath Keyless Door Access System, a revolutionary product that is reshaping the world of access control.
What is the Openpath Keyless Door Access System?
Like all access-control systems, Openpath locks and unlocks various doors around your particular site with a powerful and easy-to-use software interface. But that’s where the similarities end.
Unlike most other access-control solutions, Openpath isn’t tethered to one particular type of authentication like a fob or a card. Instead, it relies on something that employees, visitors, and decision makers already have: a smartphone. Using a Bluetooth, WiFi, or cellular signal, Openpath allows you to open a door with the touch of an on-screen button —and sometimes it doesn’t even require that. (Read more about the unique benefits of using Openpath below.)
Decision makers in particular enjoy a wide range of powerful options. Highly secure asymmetric encryption that uses elliptic curve private key and public key pairs means that you won’t need to worry about anyone eavesdropping as you download daily reports, authorize guest passes, remotely unlock various portals, and institute localized or universal lockdowns as needed.
Benefits of Openpath Access Control
Flexibility and user convenience are two of the main benefits of Openpath access control, and both integrate into the system in surprising ways. App-based security systems aren’t brand new, but Openpath allows Bluetooth-connected users to enter a door without even unlocking their phones. All they need is to have their smartphones on and to touch the reader.
Openpath can also use multiple kinds of devices for verification. Smartwatches and tablets can synch with the system. Additionally, Openpath DESFire EV1 128-bit AES cryptographic cards and key fobs, including temporary guest passes. Oh, and speaking of guest passes, visitors to your location won’t even need to download the Openpath app if they use their smartphones to gain access. They can simply receive a Guest Pass link through email, text, or messaging app and then tap it when they’re at the door. Decision makers can even implement biometric security measures for particularly sensitive areas.
While many hardware-intensive systems require complicated, bulky, and malfunction-prone equipment, Openpath does not. The only things you’ll need are an Openpath Smart Hub and Smart Readers.
Finally, Openpath seamlessly integrates with multiple security and IT systems, meaning that you won’t have to completely rework the solutions you’ve already started using.
Integrations and Credentials Compatibility
Some decision makers find themselves hesitant to consider a new access control system, thinking that it will require a new variety of software solutions. But Openpath easily integrates with the programs that you already use, including:
